End of tenancy cleaning in Greece

End of tenancy cleaning helps landlords and property owners prepare a home in Greece for its next occupants. Discuss a thorough clean of the agreed rooms, kitchen and bathrooms, and add oven cleaning, carpets, upholstery or windows only if you need them. The checklist, access, timing and quotation are agreed with you before any work begins.

For owners and managers

A rental ready for its next occupants

This service is for landlords, property owners and the managers who act for them. A home between tenancies often needs attention while its owner is in another country, and the clean is one part of getting it ready for whoever moves in next.

Before anything is arranged, decide who is giving the instruction, who may approve an added task and who should hear when the work is finished. When those three roles are clear from the start, a question raised on the day has someone able to answer it.

Before the quotation

Details that shape the quotation

A useful quotation needs more than a bedroom count. Mention these points in your first message.

  • Size and layout: the number of rooms and bathrooms, and the floor area if you know it.
  • Condition: whether the home was lightly used or needs more than a routine clean. Photographs of the kitchen and bathrooms help.
  • Furnishings: furnished or empty, and whether anything has to be moved or cleared first.
  • Surfaces: floor types such as tile or timber, and any delicate finishes.
  • Access: floor level, lift or stairs, parking nearby and whether water and electricity will be connected on the day.
  • Timing: your preferred window and any fixed date, such as the start of a new tenancy.
  • Extras: oven cleaning, carpets, upholstery or windows, if you want them.

Prices are not listed here because they depend on these details. The timing and the quotation are agreed with you before work begins.

Access and completion

Questions to settle before the day

Agree access first

Whoever carries out the clean needs a way in. If you will not be there, read how keyholding and authorised access works: who may enter, for what purpose and what is confirmed afterwards. Please keep keys, alarm details and access codes out of a first message.

Agree how completion is confirmed

Ask how you will know the clean is finished. Will the confirmation refer back to the agreed checklist? How will anything left out by agreement, or noticed during the work, such as a mark that was already there or an appliance that did not work, be passed on to you? Settle this alongside the quotation rather than assuming it.

What a clean does not decide

A clean does not settle a tenant’s deposit or any disagreement about the condition of the home. Those questions depend on the tenancy agreement and on what landlord and tenant agree, and a dispute may need legal advice. If an agent or the incoming occupant has particular expectations, add them to the checklist before the work is booked.

Before you ask

Common questions

What does the clean cover?

The agreed rooms, the kitchen and the bathrooms. The exact checklist is set for your property before work begins.

Are ovens, carpets, upholstery and windows included?

They can be specified separately. Name the ones you want in your first message so they are part of the quotation.

What if nobody can be at the property?

Access is one of the points agreed before work begins. Read how keyholding and authorised access works and raise it when you enquire.

What should I send first?

The general location, property type, number of rooms and bathrooms, your preferred timing and any extras. Photographs of the kitchen and bathrooms help. Leave keys, alarm codes and travel dates out of the first message.
