Ways to make distance easier
A considered approach to property care.
A home in Greece should remain a pleasure to own, even when you are far away. Still weighing whether a purchase makes sense? Our guide to buying property in Greece as an investment looks at the ownership side first, including what looking after the home from abroad really involves. Discuss a thoughtful plan for scheduled property visits, authorised access and updates that make the distance easier to manage.

Home Watch & Property Checks
A familiar eye on the home you leave behind

Keyholding & Authorised Access
Your key, your instructions. Authorised access to your second home for the cleaner, engineer or appointment you have booked.

Maintenance Coordination
Fewer loose ends around the work your home needs

End of Tenancy Cleaning
A fresh start between tenancies. End-of-tenancy cleaning, also known as move-out cleaning or end-of-lease cleaning, for landlords and property owners preparing a home in Greece for its next occupants. Discuss a thorough clean of the agreed rooms, kitchen and bathrooms; oven cleaning, carpets, upholstery and windows can be specified separately. The property condition, access, checklist, timing and quotation are agreed before work begins. Already using KeyCare keyholding? Say so in your enquiry, and the clean can be planned around the access instructions you have already agreed.

The other side of the distance
A connection to the place that matters
You know the sound of the door, the best place for morning coffee and the small details that make the property yours. What is harder to know from another country is what needs attention between visits.
Start with those questions. The window you want checked. The appointment that needs access. The update you would like to receive before your next stay. A useful property-care relationship brings those details into a plan you can understand.
As life changes
The season changes. Your priorities do too.
A home you have just bought, an upcoming arrival, a long absence or a planned maintenance appointment can change the kind of help you need. If you are completing a property purchase in Greece, start with our guide to property care after buying a home, then tell us which arrangements you want in place before your first stay. Tell us what is happening at your property and what you would like to make easier.
You do not need a finished checklist to get in touch. Start with the property’s general location, how you use it and the support you are looking for.
Begin with your home
How do you use the property? What do you find difficult to organise remotely? Which details would help you feel more informed?
Bring those priorities into the first conversation. Then discuss the scope, access instructions and updates appropriate to your home. Keeping responsibilities clear from the beginning gives both the property visits and your decisions a useful structure.

Useful answers
A few questions, answered.
Where does KeyCare offer property care?
KeyCare covers Greece, including mainland and island homes. We agree the practical visit schedule and scope for your address before starting.
How much does home watch cost?
Property care starts from €69 per month. Your written quotation confirms the tasks, visit pattern, reporting and total payable for your home.
Does someone stay in my home?
The home-watch service concerns scheduled visits. Overnight house sitting or resident stays are a different arrangement and are not included by default.

Choose the next step for your home
Your home will be empty
Start with scheduled home-watch visits. Use the empty-home checklist to identify the accessible areas, known observations and updates you want to discuss.
A cleaner or contractor needs to get in
Key holding and cleaning for second homes usually go together: nobody can clean a home they cannot open. With authorised keyholding and access, the cleaner, engineer or assessor you booked gets in on the agreed day, following the entry instructions you set. If an assessment or repair needs follow-up, add maintenance coordination. Entry instructions and permission to spend are agreed separately.
You are planning the next stay
Connect arrival preparation with the departure and return checklist. Confirm the requested tasks and practical dates before relying on an arrangement.
You are still comparing care options
Read home watch versus house sitting, compare plans and pricing, or browse the owner guides. Start an enquiry with the general location, type of home and your first priorities.
