End of Tenancy Cleaning

A fresh start between tenancies. End-of-tenancy cleaning, also known as move-out cleaning or end-of-lease cleaning, for landlords and property owners preparing a home in Greece for its next occupants. Discuss a thorough clean of the agreed rooms, kitchen and bathrooms; oven cleaning, carpets, upholstery and windows can be specified separately. The property condition, access, checklist, timing and quotation are agreed before work begins.

Start with the part you want to make easier

Whether you have one practical concern or several, describe the property and the support you are looking for. There is no need to choose a package before the conversation.

The practical detail

A scope you can actually use

Keep the scope, the information you receive and the decisions that remain yours clear from the outset.

Between stays

Identify the accessible rooms and exterior areas you want observed, any known issues to watch and the kind of update that would be useful. Agree what counts as a change worth bringing to your attention, and how an inaccessible area will be recorded.

Before your return

Discuss which visible conditions matter before a visit to the property: access, the appearance of agreed rooms and any outstanding follow-up. Cleaning, technical checks or contractor attendance should be separately described and confirmed rather than assumed.

When something needs follow-up

Separate the observation from the decision. A visible change may call for further information or a qualified specialist. Define who can request a quotation, who approves the work and how completion would be evidenced before any additional cost is authorised.

A scope you can actually use

Before deciding how often a property needs attention, define what a visit is intended to establish. A useful brief names the accessible areas, the visible conditions that matter and the questions the owner wants answered. For example, an agreed exterior observation may concern the appearance of a gate or courtyard; it does not automatically include entering adjoining land, testing equipment or reaching inaccessible roof areas. State those distinctions in plain language so both the requested work and its limits are understandable.

Match the request to the property

An apartment may involve shared entrances, building access rules or an appointed contact. A rural home may have separate outbuildings and outdoor areas that need their own description. A coastal property may prompt different seasonal questions. KeyCare covers Greece nationwide; the tasks and visit arrangements are tailored to each property. Begin with the general location and type of home. The practical scope can then be considered without putting an exact address, access code or absence schedule into an initial message.

Separate care from additional work

A property-care observation can identify something worth discussing without establishing its cause or authorising a repair. If the owner wants further investigation, the next agreement should identify the intended specialist or contractor task, the information required for a decision and any spending limit. A request for a quotation is different from permission to proceed. Likewise, arranging access is different from accepting responsibility for another provider’s work. Keeping these stages separate makes follow-up easier to understand.

Check the agreement before it starts

Review the proposed areas, visit frequency, reporting format, point of contact, access arrangements and costs together. Identify what is excluded and how changes would be approved. If a planned area cannot be visited, decide how that limitation should be recorded. If circumstances change, revisit the scope instead of relying on the original assumption. The aim is a manageable arrangement that reflects your priorities and remains clear to everyone involved. Read how the working approach is defined before preparing your enquiry.

Useful answers

A few questions, answered.

Can I combine services?

Yes. Discuss scheduled checks, keyholding, reports and any arrival, departure or maintenance-coordination needs together. The agreed proposal sets out which tasks are included.

Are repairs included in a property-care plan?

Repairs and contractor invoices are separate unless expressly included in your written quotation. Access permission alone does not approve expenditure.

Do you cover properties outside Athens?

Yes. KeyCare covers Greece. Share the general location and requested tasks to agree a practical plan.
